About Us

Rotary Club Frankfurt International unites people from over 20 nations to foster education, inclusion, and culture — powered by our Advent Calendar fundraiser.

Rotary Club Frankfurt International (RCFI) unites professionals from more than 20 nations who share a commitment to service, integrity, and fellowship.
We believe that global understanding begins with local action.

Our annual Rotary Advent Calendar is at the heart of our fundraising efforts. Each calendar sold supports educational, social, and cultural initiatives that strengthen our community and promote opportunity across borders.

Current projects supported by the club include:

  • Über den Tellerrand – fostering integration and exchange through shared cooking, community, and the Karrierebuddy mentoring programme.

  • PROCEDI – supporting children’s education and healthcare in Guatemala.

  • Schüler coachen Schüler – empowering young people to mentor each other and build confidence through peer learning.

We meet every Friday morning in Frankfurt to connect, exchange ideas, and plan projects that make a difference — guided by our 2025/26 theme, Solidarity through the Arts.

It expresses what defines us: action rooted in compassion and community built through culture, learning, and service.

THANK YOU MARTINA!

A big THANK YOU!

20 years of steadfast support: today we thanked Martina Stolz for her long service as our external secretary and for the essential role she played in our club.
20 years of steadfast support: today we thanked Martina Stolz for her long service as our external secretary and for the essential role she played in our club.
For two decades, Martina Stolz supported Rotary Club Frankfurt International as our external secretary. Her contribution shaped the way our club functioned: reliable, precise, and always one step ahead. This year, as she concluded her work with us, we reviewed a sample of her activities from the past four years. It confirmed what many of us already knew — Martina carried a remarkable share of the operational load and did so with consistency and care. Much of what we took for granted in our weekly routines, our communications, and our largest projects was possible because she made it simple for all of us. Today we had the chance ...

Malick Gai/ Decade-long experience as an exiled journalist and refugee
Show the description

Malick will be sharing his decade-long experience as an exiled journalist and refugee, beginning with life in Hong Kong. "I witnessed firsthand how the asylum system's 0.7% acceptance rate and strict laws prohibiting work create years of precarious uncertainty and fear of detention for refugees. When I relocated to New York City, my journalistic focus shifted to the massive influx of West African migrants—primarily from Guinea, Senegal, Mauritania, and Angola— many of whom crossed the Darién Gap and took other perilous, long routes to reach the U.S. via the Mexican border. By contrasting these two urban realities, I will reveal the common forces driving global migration today: how climate change is destroying livelihoods in West Africa, and how the weaponization of mis/disinformation on social media encourages migrants to take life-threatening risks, only to face a shattered dream upon arrival. I will conclude by examining how recent policy shifts under the Trump administration are now driving these migrant flows to re-route their journeys back toward Europe."
